Love Food Live Life is a weight loss consultancy, based on Harley Street that has been established by Dr Nicolette Ray, a GP with a background in nutrition.
The aim of her service is to promote weight loss by encouraging clients to break away from the control and deprivation that is inherent to diets and reconnect with food in such a way that it becomes a normal and indeed, pleasurable part of their life.
Dr Ray's novel approach is to work with her clients on a 1 to 1 basis to analyse in detail an individual's relationship with food, to tease out why her clients eat what they do, which foods give them greatest pleasure and what areas of eating are most problematic for them. Then, with awareness and understanding on her side, she attempts to alter how they engage with food, encouraging them to eat the food they love. In 2005 Sony launched “EyeToy: Kinetic”, an innovative physical exercise game created exclusively for PlayStation 2 in consultation with Nike Motionworks. It allows players to not only improve their general fitness but also their reactions, posture, balance, breathing and all round body toning and conditioning.
The game comes complete with its own personal trainers, Anna and Matt. So whether it’s a quick work out you require or a 12 week course, EyeToy:
Kinetic can be customised to realise all your individual fitness goals. Kathryn Freeland, Managing Director of Absolute Fitness provided the teaching points for the game in collaboration with the Nike Motionworks team.
EyeToy: Kinetic uses an EyeToy camera (with an additional wide-angle
lens) to capture and project the participants’ movements on to the TV
screen, enabling them to physically interact with the game. The camera
also acts as the trainer’s eye, enabling the trainer to assess how well
you are working out and offer advice.
